CHATEAU L’ESPERANCE

The property of the Jonck family (of South African origin), acquired in 1994, is now spread over 22 hectares of vineyards. It is located on the right bank of the estuary. Just at the junction of the Côtes de Blaye and the Côtes de Bourg, Château d 'Espérance AOC wines are the perfect meeting between the wines of Bourg and Blaye wines. Johannes Jonck is the manager of the Château l 'Espérance with his 2 brothers. They are not from the world of wine but, passionate, they have been able to develop a very beautiful wine. A name predestined for a castle, and a motto for the Jonck family: ' Because every encounter is not just the fruit of chance '. And, for proof, many gold and silver medals and rewards crowned their participation in the largest international competitions. It is therefore with great pride that the Jonck family opens the doors of the castle and organizes visits (cuvier, chais), where Annie and Denis Beurier welcome you and enjoy a little history, know-how, to finish in apotheosis with a tasting to make you discover the precious bottles: Château l 'Espérance, Cuvée of the Three Brothers, the Cedars, Instinct (Sauvignon white).

The opinion of the oenologists.

Hope 2012 - Blaye, Bordeaux coast: Very nice garat dress with dark reflections. Exotic nose, vanilla notes, toast, oriental spices, anis, mint and spices. The mouth is fresh and acidulous, with silky tannins on fresh fruit notes. This wine has a fine balance and a final finale.

Cuvée of the Three Brothers 2010 - Blaye, Bordeaux coast: Dark ruby color dress with slight tuber reflections. A stylish and elegant nose comes first to follow up on toasted notes, ripe fruit, prune and menthol. A rich, wide and velvety mouth emerges on fine and melted tannins. Nice final finish. The structure of this wine is very elegant.
