History: A history of a family of four generations, that of the Tissages Moutet, a company created in 1913 by Jean-Baptiste Moutet, manufacturer of "pants ticking" for clothing, and of the famous "mantis à boeuf" clothes, which traditionally covered the horse's dog at work in order to protect them from insects.
In 1919, son Georges transformed the loom into mechanical weaving and mantis to beef became table linen. In 1967, it was Jacques Moutet who gave a new boost to the company by building an ultra-modern factory that would produce Jacquard. During the crisis of the 1990 s, the company moves towards the artistic creation of designers applied to high-end weaving, boosting its activity in the high-end decoration distribution circuit.

The workshop is open to visitors for a discovery of the looms and seamstresses in action, a small bathroom corner and the collection that goes with it, a kitchen corner with a staging ... Manufacturing its pieces on site and benefiting from a unique craft know-how, the brand is unavoidable and largely exceeds the borders of the Southwest and France. The last weaver faithful to the Basque tradition, Lartigue 1910 offers a factory outlet dedicated to tableware and kitchenware, superb tablecloths and napkins, bags, cushions, kits for a surprisingly high quality decoration and fabric by the meter. A great success with now 6 stores : Ascain, Bidos, Bayonne, Biarritz, Espelette and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and the obtaining in 2020 of the GI Label " Linge Basque " attributed to the companies which have a particular know-how and guaranteeing the origin of the linen produced in its workshops.
