Since 2021, this young craft microbrewery has been producing beers with local flavors, using cereals grown and malted in Auvergne and organic raw materials (hazelnut flour, lemon thyme, garden sage...). You will discover a range of four beers - white, blonde, amber and IPA - as well as ephemeral beers according to the seasons and occasions. Nicolas Brugerolles is a graduate of the Chamalières cooking school. Today, the chef shares his passion for cooking and the art of the table with Création gourmande. Since 1998, Stéphanie Falgoux has been helping visitors discover the delights of the region. More melting than the creamy caramels of Normandy, the texture and flavours of Benoît Lorlut's caramels make them unique. If the plain version is a treat, our palates are convinced by the original flavours (blackcurrant leaf, verbena, rose-litchi). Who hasn't heard of donuts, the round-shaped doughnuts popular in North America? Morad Asnabla has decided to reinvent them. He doesn't use frozen doughnuts, but instead makes his own, using local produce whenever possible. The variations are varied, from classic sugar doughnuts, to gourmet pastry-style doughnuts, to refined doughnuts with original flavors. On the savoury side, he reinvents burgers in the form of "bangers", composed of a croissant-style flaky bun, topped with Panko chicken, beef and bacon, or avocado for his vegetarian version.

The concept is the same: to put forward the local producers by proposing this time their harvests and productions. In the store, pleasantly arranged, we find different stalls. The corner of the local fruits and vegetables, the one of the butchery, the one of the cheese factory or the one of the bulk. How does it work? The local producers set their prices and deliver directly to the store. Thus, the prices displayed for the consumer are accessible. Although the company has left its original premises, the Vensat oil mill has been in the same family for over 150 years. Claude Gendre, grandson of the founder, and his wife Sylvie, still make artisanal oils. Whether it is walnut, hazelnut, almond or rapeseed oil, the work begins with the choice of fruits, from regional producers. Claude performs the same gestures as his father and grandfather. In 2013 were born "Les samedis du terroir" in the historic district of Montferrand. Every first and third Saturday of the month, the Montferrand merchants' association organizes a food market with products from short circuits. It is here that Angélique and Eric Chavanon raise about sixty alpine goats and about twenty pretty Jersiais cows. All the milk is processed directly on the farm to produce good farm cheeses. Just like their pressed goat cheese, their pressed Combrailles cheese is well known in the region! The amateurs will also appreciate their cow's tomme as well as the goat's tomme in dry and semi-dry. In addition to the sale at the farm, the domain is present on the markets of Saint-Eloy-les-Mines, Menat and Saint-Gervais d'Auvergne.

Jean-Baptiste Deroche and Laure Cartier, young winegrowers, have taken over the estate from Odette and Gilles Miolanne, whose name they have kept. The property has a volcanic soil where organic farming is practiced. Discover the red Volcane, the rosé Volcane, the Pinot noir, the red Ephémère with carbonic maceration and the white Ephémère, made with gewurztraminer, rare in the region. Every Friday, the food market takes place around Knox Square. On Sundays, the numerous exhibitors, both food and commercial, are spread out more widely in the downtown streets. The Art Nouveau inspired façade, created by Louis Jarrier at the beginning of the ^20th century for the Rochefort pharmacy, is listed as a historical monument. Today it is the setting for the Moinet confectionery, founded in 1852 and whose colors are worn by Elisabeth Moinet-Michaille. Originally from Vichy, the house is known for its beneficial pastilles, in bulk or in pretty vintage boxes. On the shelves, fruit jellies, candy canes, iced candies, chocolates and more unusual, a chocolate bar with Vichy pastilles chips!

The ideal place to fill up on good local products. The goal here is to make discover the culinary wealth of the Auvergne region, including of course the PDO cheeses. You will also find a wide range of artisanal jams, Fanette's Delights, the cookies of the Atelier Auvergnat, Desprat beers, emblematic wines and liqueurs of the region and of course a lot of cheeses and charcuterie. Henri and Chrystel Ducros are the fifth generation of farmers to grow delicious red fruit in open fields. They then transform their harvest into tasty jams with high fruit content (raspberry, rhubarb...), syrups (blackberry, blackcurrant...), coulis, vinegars and fruit jellies. All without additives or preservatives, just good fruit and sugar. You can also find them on Saturday mornings at the Issoire market.

Created in 2015, this 70 m² store today brings together the fruits of the labor of some thirty producers from Livradois-Forez and the surrounding area. Since 2018, it is one of the first entirely organic sales points created on the initiative of producers in the Puy de Dôme. Founded in 2017, Billd Brewery continues to innovate and grow. At first, Laurent launched his first productions in his garage. Then, three years later, the brewery moved into its current location, which is expanding again this year. Pale Ale, Amber Ale, IPA, triple, stout, Pils lager, american lager, milk stout... the range diversifies and seduces a great number of beer lovers. The opening of the brewpub allows you to discover and rediscover them. They are also available to take away. And what does Billd stand for? It is the initials of each member of the founding family: Bières Ingrid Lucas Laurent Dutheil.

In this no-frills shop, dedicated to local produce, you will find something to delight your taste buds with exclusively regional products: beers and lemonade from the Sancy, traditional aperitifs and digestives (hypocras, verbena, Avèze, Salers, gentian...), syrups, Salers meat sausages, pâtés, tripoux (a kind of pork pie), spreads, Vichy© pastilles, biscuits, chocolates, fruit jellies... Laure Barthomeuf is a wild plant picker. She makes everything she sells in her store from flowers, leaves and buds gathered in the Valbeleix area. Everything is certified organic: herbal teas, ointments, oils, syrups, jams... Beyond the taste and scents, the therapeutic and sometimes little-known virtues of Auvergne plants are revealed. You'll also have the chance to discover different plants, by taking part in one or more of the activities.

Thierry Rouger has set up his artisanal biscuit factory. His credo is to make biscuits "like at home". With a single objective: to rediscover the good taste of our grandmothers' biscuits. The recipe? Raw materials coming, for the majority, from the region. Most of the biscuits are free of colouring and preservatives. Each biscuit is unique in its shape, the geometry is not perfect because here everything respects the traditional method, both for sweet and salty products. You can even see the production when you shop.

Both a tea room and a delicatessen, Olivier Vandenberghe's establishment lives up to its name. Here, time seems to have stopped and the warm woodwork invites you to take a gourmet break. The products are local, some of them even made in the village, such as the beer of Saint-Babel. Others are made a few kilometers away, such as the cookies from the Atelier Auvergnat. Or many essential oils. He also practices the chantournage in front of you, the manufacture of wooden objects. To perfect the local side, the store even accepts payment in doume!
