Originally, this banal mill and its oil press belonged to the lord of Châtelus. In 1693, Claude Lallias set up as an oil miller. The mill remained in the same family, then Jean-Philippe Clément took it over in 2020. He still produces flours made from Demeter-certified organically grown cereals. The oil mill is located in the basement of the mill, where walnut, rapeseed and hazelnut oils are produced for private customers. Come and watch the production process and take your oil home with you.

C'est chaque fois un plaisir de venir faire ses emplettes dans la boutique du moulin. Les farines sont d'excellentes qualité et le choix est large entre le Sarrazin, la Châtaigne, l'Epeautre....ne pas oubliez les huiles bien entendu. On peut trouver les fameuses bougies de Charroux comme la moutarde d'ailleurs.
Un regret néanmoins, la boutique n'est pas ouverte le week-end.

Certainly something to remember this small hamlet in this cute little village. Oils and flours, craft, are very good. Their shop is very pleasant to visit. All sorts of animals gambol behind the Mill, children were happy too.
