At the Cave de Salers, we explain to you all the secrets of a good cheese, the one that a few producers have been making for centuries. The worthy heirs of the buronniers of yesteryear ripen more than a thousand Salers cheeses here. They watch over them so that, during 3 to 18 months, the aromas develop under the golden rind. On the palate, you will find a taste of butter, a hint of hazelnut or liquorice. A visit that will whet your appetite with a tasting of 3 Salers cheeses on the slate. It's up to you to appreciate the best and to discover the other PDO cheeses.

Opening time and information on LA CAVE DE SALERS

Open all year long. Free or guided tour (in summer from 11am) of the cellar. Low season: from Monday to Friday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm; on Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm. High season: every day and on public holidays from 10am to 7pm. From November to April from Monday to Friday from 10am to 12.30pm. Free. Groups welcome. Guided tour. Shop. Tasting of three Salers PDO cheeses from various refinings offered on the slate (€2).
