Every Sunday, the people of Clermont-Ferrand meet at Place Gambetta - better known as Place des Salins - to bargain. The exhibitors, professionals and individuals, are there and the good deals are always present. Next to the market, there are also stalls selling fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese, meat and fish, as well as many ready-made dishes to enjoy at lunchtime. A real market worthy of the name! To exhibit, it is advisable to reserve 15 days in advance.

The Issoire market is the second largest in the Puy-de-Dôme. Every Saturday morning, local traders and producers gather in the streets of the town center. From Place de la République to Place de la Montagne, via Rue Berbiziale, it's the perfect time to come and meet the many producers and merchants, and stock up on local produce. You'll love strolling along and discovering new flavours. The shopkeepers are happy to let you taste their products and give you valuable advice.

Every Saturday morning, small local producers are on the market in the heart of the medieval city in the Saint-Pierre district and Notre-Dame Square. You will find a biological bakery with all sorts of breads, including the rye-grape rye and the black European bread, pastry and cakes, but also Véronique, canards of ducks in Huriel, which sells its breasts, aiguillettes, tournedos, and processed products such as raw and raw fatty livers, rillettes of duck, blocks and candied. Every Saturday morning, one of the largest weekly markets in the Puy-de-Dôme is held. It is animated by a hundred traders and producers. Large tables offer tastings of Auvergne, Spanish, Italian and Asian products, as well as ready-made meals from the market's merchants, including the Reines butcher's shop, Eo Viet'Street Foods, Klein d'Alsace, and Istrenn Tavarn oysters. Events and tastings are also organized from time to time.

For more than 75 years, this covered market has been dedicated to the food trade and crafts of the Bourbonnais and the Auvergne. Fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, bakery... It is the ideal place to discover the local products and to taste local specialities such as potato pâté, pompe aux grattons or Comtesse de Vichy cheese. On Saturday morning, about sixty agricultural producers from the Montagne bourbonnaise, Monts de la Madeleine, Sologne bourbonnaise, Val de Besbre and Bocage bourbonnais settle down on the mezzanine.

In 2013 were born "Les samedis du terroir" in the historic district of Montferrand. Every first and third Saturday of the month, the Montferrand merchants' association organizes a food market with products from short circuits. About twenty producers are waiting for you between the place de la Fontaine and the rue Jules-Guesde. It's convenient because it's right next to the tramway line, which is free on weekends. A perfect opportunity to support the local economy!

Every Friday, the food market takes place around Knox Square. On Sundays, the numerous exhibitors, both food and commercial, are spread out more widely in the downtown streets. While strolling around, you are bound to find what you are looking for: vegetables and fruits, cheeses, meats, fish, world or regional specialties, breads and pastries, wines, jewelry, tableware, leather goods... If you don't come by public transport (free on weekends), two parking lots are nearby, Place de l'Europe and Place Saint-Verny. They are free.

Between Place Delille and the SNCF train station, under a ^19th century metal hall, protected as a historical monument, a pretty farmers' market is held. It is organized by the association La Jonquille. About thirty producers, farm or organic, sell their products directly every Friday morning: fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meats, delicatessen, cheeses, honeys, pastries, jams, syrups, wines, bread, oils, herbal teas... A friendly atmosphere and affordable prices, you would be really wrong not to come!

On Saturday mornings, as an extension of the Halle gourmande Saint-Pierre and the market that takes place around it, the Mazet market is the place to fill your fridge. All the way down the rue de la Boucherie, local producers offer fresh seasonal products and welcome passers-by with a smile. The shopping bags go from stand to stand, from producer to producer. We stroll in a pleasant atmosphere, especially on days when the sun is shining. A break on the terrace concludes this gustatory escapade.

In a friendly atmosphere, this market brings together local residents to bring fresh produce right to their doorstep. During construction work, the market has been relocated to rue des Fusillés de Vingré, opposite the Henri-Bournel school. As well as food shops selling local produce, there are also flower and pastry stalls, and a number of inexhaustible and friendly traders who keep the market lively. This open air market animates the heart of Chamalières. Ideally located close to the church and the town hall, it welcomes various food merchants and other businesses. Some local producers offer their seasonal products to a clientele of regulars. Perfect for stocking up on provisions and good things to cook, especially since for the rare products that are not on the market, a flock of shops flourish in the adjacent pedestrian streets. From the Place de la Rodade (the former foirail) to the covered market hall of the Place Poly, stalls enliven the medieval heart of Montferrand every Friday morning, an ancient town renowned for its markets since the 12th century.
