The dishes of the day are listed, but the regulars go straight to the point: antipasto del lago (lake appetizer) and tinca al forno con polenta (polenta oven tench). It won't take you long to understand where this trattoria gets its name " del gallo ", from the rooster: the collection of objects in the shape of roosters is impressive!

This authentic restaurant offers excellent local cuisine. The homemade pasta is simply delicious! We especially enjoy seafood: antipasti, seafood, fresh fish dishes of the day... That day we had a bit of octopus as a starter, followed by tagliatelle with tuna and eggplant cream. Finally, we tried the succulent and traditional tiramisu... In the hamlet of Clusane, 5 km west of the center of Iseo, a historic address known by the good forks of the surrounding area. The Bosio family has run this stone cottage on the little port since 1862, and the quality of the restoration is as good as ever. The dining room is full of character, with its wooden counter and copper pans hanging from the walls. Since 1977, this small trattoria, a little retro, offers fresh fish straight from the lake! You can get there from the center of Peschiera, by a nice walk along the banks. Simple and popular, the place benefits from a good location: a few steps from the port. This former mountain refuge has been skilfully restored by the Mahlknecht family. In a typical setting, you'll be served the best of regional and family cuisine: canederli with blue cheese, coleslaw, corn pancakes, cold meats, sausages... A scenic road leads to the restaurant by car. On foot, it's a 50-minute walk (from the Seceda gondola station, path no. 9 along the Val d'Anna torrent), unless you're skiing, as Ustaria is on the La Longia slope.

A Milan classic that never disappoints. Much frequented by journalists at the nearby Corriere della Sera headquarters, Rigolo offers tasty and careful Tuscan-inspired cuisine. In an elegantly classic setting, the "bourgeois" address is reminiscent of a Sunday meal. Very good fish dishes and legendary bolliti misti (meat and vegetables boiled in broth) served only on Thursdays (lunch and dinner) and only between October and February, with exquisite sauces as an accompaniment. A retired firefighter in the 1950's opened this sought-after trattoria with a warm and relaxed atmosphere that will whet your appetite right away. Your mouth is watering when you look at the counter filled with deli meats and cheeses from all over Italy (there are even hams hanging from the ceiling!). Dishes of regional tradition are cooked in a wise way, always with that little touch that enhances the flavours. Pigeon risotto and Venetian-style veal liver with polenta are real culinary feats.

At^no. 16 Via Vitani, Osteria del Gallo has been open since 1927. Not to be missed are the malfatti (ricotta and spinach ravioli) with melted butter and the stracotto d'asino con polenta (donkey meat marinated with its polenta), vino della casa (wine from the house pitcher) and homemade desserts. A sincere and tasty cuisine in a friendly and courteous atmosphere. Very good value for money.

This brasserie has an air of France about it, yet it's in the best Milanese tradition. At the entrance, an old zinc counter welcomes you, while in the dining room, close-knit tables, wooden chairs and old posters on the walls set the tone for a very pleasant space.
