This new commune of Côtes-d'Armor was created in January 2017, by the union of three localities: Ploubalay, Plessix-Balisson and Trégon. Bordered by the sea and the famous polders, Ploubalay is the delegated commune. It is at the heart of a remarkable protected natural area where one can enjoy beautiful walks through the Bonas valleys, the Duchy and the City of Asselin. The polders are famous for their numerous bird species: curlews, waders, sandpipers, gravel plovers... These polders were built by the Benedictine monks of Saint-Jacut Abbey to dry out the marshy land and make it suitable for cultivation.
