Thimi is a small village of Newar potters on the outskirts of Bhaktapur, which has retained all its 18th-century authenticity. We stroll through the small town, where the inhabitants stroll the streets, often sitting on the doorsteps of shops. From square to square, you'll discover the talent of an entire village's shaping hands, from the design of the clay to that of the ceramic pots. The objects dry in the sun on the squares. We advise you to stop off at the village store, which sells the finest pottery at more attractive prices than the store where it is on display in Kathmandu (La Maison de Katmandou).
