At a crossroads, this stopover village developed in medieval times around the church of Sant Sadurní. In the 1960s, the inauguration of the Riera-Mars industrial estate turned Montornès del Vallès into a flourishing industrial town. The town is bordered by the River Mogent to the north and the last foothills of the Catalan Coastal Range to the southeast. Along the river banks, a few pleasant walks will attract walkers in search of solitude. To the north, archaeology enthusiasts will head for the remains of the Mons Observans, which Montornès del Vallès shares with the nearby town of Montmeló. Those who have the courage to climb the hill of the Telègraf tower will be able to enjoy a 360 °C view of the Vallès Oriental.
