Parets del Vallès, a town with a thousand-year-old history, changed its face from the 1960s onwards in the context of the strong industrialisation of Vallès Oriental. Its church, rebuilt in a neo-Romanesque style, bears witness to its distant past, as does the fortified tower of Cellers (one of the best preserved castles in the Vallès Oriental), the old tower of Malla, erected over an old Roman villa, or the protected agricultural area of Gallecs, which stands out in the industrial panorama. But the great curiosity of Parets is its traditional monumental crib(monumental pessebre in Catalan) which attracts more than 10,000 visitors to the small village every year. A visit that is well worth the detour if you pass through the area between December and February. In Gallecs, follow the Torre d'en Malla path (on the Parets de Vallès side), a gentle route of 8 km (approx. 2 hours on foot, 40 m. by bike).
