Ped attracts little by little the tourists and the infrastructures begin to develop. But Ped has some particularities, the village has an important temple for the Balinese - and more particularly the Hindus - the Pura Dalem Penetaran. Close to the beach, it is the most important temple on the island. A shrine is dedicated to the demon Jedo Gede Macalin. The temple is very venerated by the Balinese, who regularly come to pray - during pilgrimage - to protect themselves from illness and death. They also come to bring offerings to the demons. If you are in the area, don't miss Ped, but don't linger too long.
