The village of Rendang, overlooking a landscape of rice paddies, is quite charming but often misty. The small road from Rendang to Muncan winds for 4 km through rice fields, trees and ferns. Muncan still retains a few houses with wooden shingle roofs, then continuing eastwards, the road continues through lush vegetation to Selat and then Duda, where you turn right to descend to Klungkung, with some of the most beautiful rice paddy scenery on the island. If you continue straight on from Duda, you'll reach the village of Putung and finally Sibetan, renowned for its salak cultivation.
