Sukawati is only known by tourists for its market(Pasar Seni), open from 6am to 8pm, which has the interest to sell some handicrafts. Umbrellas, textiles, basketry made with lontar, the Pasar Seni offers all kinds of souvenirs. At 200 m to the west, the very early morning craft market which closes around 7am, and where you will find lots of cheaper items from the surrounding villages. The village now has at least 3 craft markets. But Sukawati has many other charms: this village shelters, just like Batuan, many Brahmins who have perpetuated the art of dalang in the wayang kulit (shadow theatre)
