This small village of less than 1,000 inhabitants is a major producer of Empordà wines. Almost a quarter of the region's vines are grown here. The main red grape varieties are Carignan (48%), but Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot and Tempranillo are also grown for red wines, and Macabeu, Carignan, Grenache and Muscat for white wines. The cooperative is highly reputed, handling almost two-thirds of the village's production. You can of course visit the cooperative to discover its facilities and production methods, as well as enjoying wine tastings.
