This little village has all the charm of a small mountain village, with a few wooden and slate houses here and there. In medieval times, it enjoyed a certain renown, and today we can look back on a number of elements from those distant times that justify a visit to its pedestrianized center. In winter and midsummer, however, tourists and second-home owners, mainly from Barcelona, arrive in many of the houses uninhabited throughout the year, and the narrow streets of the old town come alive, with dance demonstrations - the sardana - notably around the attractive modernist Casino.
