West Beach, at the northern end of Glenelg, is where the River Torrens ends its course in St. Vincent Gulf. It's also the end of the beautiful River Torrens Linear Park, which acts as a pedestrian and cycle path following the river from Adelaide and beyond. Here you'll find some great walks, ideal for families with children. The town itself, very residential, offers little of interest apart from its 3-kilometre-long beach. This family-friendly beach has the advantage of being uncrowded and rather quiet. Perfect for swimming, you can also paddle or kitesurf here.
