Nestled between the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains, in the magnificent Rucăr-Bran corridor, at an altitude of around 1,000 m, Moieciu de Jos is a typical mountain village, with houses scattered on the slopes between pastures. From Fundata, the superb neighboring village, you can access many points of interest: the Piatra Craiului National Park and its hiking trails, the Moieciu Gorge and the Grădiște Gorge. From Șimon and Moieciu de Sus, you can reach Poiana Guțanu, a refuge from where numerous paths lead to Omu, Babele or Sinaia, on the other side of the Bucegi mountains.
