In the west of Chania, this is one of those villages built on both sides of the road, facing the beach, only for the purpose of hosting hungry tourists. Many hotels and rooms for rent, cafes, taverns, markets… and a very long beach with a European blue flag attesting to its cleanliness. With its neighbour Platanias, Kato Stalos is among the most popular stations in the northern part of Chania, but apart from that, without too much interest.
