3-4 kilometers west of the touristy Plakias, Souda is a haven of peace. The beach of sand and small pebbles draws a perfect arc and is much less crowded than its neighbor. It is also cleaner. Two taverns are hidden among the lush vegetation and trees of the surrounding area. There are also a few rooms for rent in the heights. The village of Plakias and its shops can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car along the coast. It is even possible to walk to the village for those who like walking. Souda is a good base camp to discover the area.
