Orbaitzeta is a small village of just under 200 inhabitants located in the Aezkoa valley. The village is an ideal starting point to visit the immense forest of Iraty divided between the Spanish Navarre and the French Lower Navarre. The village is known for having hosted a battle in 1794 between France and Spain, in which the French took the cannon foundry, where there is now a weapons factory. In addition to this vestige, there are some old granaries and a church from the medieval era (16th century) with a Churrigueresque altarpiece (18th century Spanish Baroque).
