Of Basque origin, its name means "village with a bridge", a reference to the medieval bridge that pilgrims used to enter the place. Here, the legend tells that under one of the arches of the bridge are buried the relics of Saint Quitterie... Take a moment to climb up to the artificial lake of Eugui, surrounded by green meadows, the place is ideal to rest. In the old part of the town, the new church of San Martín replaces the old one, destroyed in 1836 during the Carlist wars. Most pilgrims finish this stage of the journey in Zubiri. The most motivated ones will continue to Larrasoaña, in order to have time to enjoy Pamplona the next day
