Larrasoaña, with 150 inhabitants in 2020, was once a village built around the now-defunct San Agustín monastery. Cited in the Codex Calixtinus, the village was once home to two hospices. It has thus become a regular stopover on the way to Pamplona. You can still admire its 13th-century church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Pilgrims on the Camino Navarro pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela will almost certainly arrive at the hamlet of Eskirotz. From Larrasoaña, the next stop along the way is the hamlet of Akerreta, also part of the municipality of Esteribar. There's an inn here, open from Easter to October.
