Portoscuso is a charming harbour station founded in the 16th century by the Spanish. Its rocky bays and beautiful beaches make it a delightful resort. The red trachyte tower dates from the Spanish period. Restored by the Pisans, it was transformed into private accommodation in the middle of the 19th century. It can now be visited. The church of the Madonna d'Itria, rebuilt in 1955, is also worth seeing. It still has its walls, a crucifix and a wooden statue from the Spanish period. The tuna boat of Su Pranu is exposed between the church and the port. Tuna fishing resumed at the beginning of 2000 in Sardinia, after its interruption in 1970.
