Located on the splendid Costa del Sud, Teulada is famous for its wonderful beaches with crystal-clear waters. The town is surrounded by a wild, unspoilt landscape, with paths and viewpoints offering a thousand surprises. Its coastline is a succession of long beaches and rugged, jagged areas, including the splendid Capo Malfatano, which forms a large part of the coastline up to Capo Teulada, its extreme tip. Teulada also offers visitors magnificent high-altitude scenery, with the Gutturu Mannu forest and Monte Punta Sebera. Not least, Teulada can be a great base for hikers and wilderness enthusiasts. The village is made up of narrow streets that climb into the old historic center, and others that are straighter. In the center, the Madonna del Carmelo parish church is well worth a visit. For boating enthusiasts, there's a marina, renovated a few years ago, which can accommodate up to 133 boats of up to 30 m in length. The port of Budello, with its typical fishing boats, and that of Capo Malfatano, are small but full of character. Traditions are very strong: crafts range from textiles, with tapestries and carpets, to corkwork, leatherwork and ceramics. Embroidery has been practiced since ancient times, and a particular stitch is called "Teulada stitch" because it was invented here...
