Santadi is a small town of 3,500 inhabitants cut in half by the Mannu River. The upper part of the town dates back to the 15th century and hosts a Mauritanian wedding in early August every year, celebrated in the local tradition. The lower part, overlooking the plain of Sulcis, is turned towards agriculture and more particularly the vine. The caves of Is Zuddas welcome a large number of visitors who come to admire its impressive rock concretions.
