Teverga is part of the Bear Valleys, located in the Ubiñas la Mesa Natural Park, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2012. The area can be explored on horseback (Cuadra, Sobia, Sobrevilla, Teverga) and by bicycle (to be rented at the Albergue San Martín, in San Martín Teverga), without fearing the bears that hide in the heights. You will be able to discover different typical constructions such as old mills, hórreos and stone houses covered with a vegetable roof(teitos). In the Plaza, we can also visit the collegiate church of Saint Peter of Taverga, a magnificent Romanesque complex that houses several medieval tombs.
