Just 10 km south of the previous stopover, this fourth step allows you to access a municipality in which the relief is much more powerful. For if Morcín has two high points, La Mostayal, at 1,301 meters, and Peña La Vara, at 1,211 meters south, its roof remains the peak of La Gamonal (1,712 meters) since it shares Sierra del Aramo with Riosa, the next step. About 50 km ², this small municipality comprises more than 2,700 inhabitants, divided into 7 parishes, but its capital Santa Eulalia is strategically positioned as the motorway puts it at 30 minutes from Gijón. In addition, it is mainly marked by a large number of small villages or hamlets (53 of which have a population of less than 100 inhabitants), to be discovered by numerous cycling or hiking trails, to take particular advantage of the beauty of the Alfilorios dam or the Chapels of the Monsacro, not forgetting to surrender in Foz de Morcín. Cheese lovers will visit the Museum of Lechería.
