Pasaia, Guipúzcoa's main port, is made up of four villages/neighborhoods built around one of the only fjord-like formations on the coast: Pasai Donibane, home to the old town and restaurants; Pasaia San Pedro, home to marine activities; and the less touristy Trintxerpe and Pasai Antxo. Perceived as a single town, these villages share a common identity linked to the sea. This natural enclave of great beauty attracted Victor Hugo, who had a holiday home here (temporarily closed). Most monuments of interest are to be found in Pasai Donibane and Pasai San Pedro.
