At a distance of 10 km, or 20 minutes from Hanalei by the Kuhio Highway, a very small village with little activity. But all the beaches and the surrounding nature are beautiful and suitable for many activities. Haena is the starting point of the famous Kalalau hike on the Napali Coast. As of 2021, in response to major mudslides precipitated by the heavy rains of 2018, access to Haena State Park (which includes the hike and Ke'e Beach) now requires a permit to be applied for online so as to limit the number of people on site. Haena beach, Tunnels beach and the cave are open access.
