Kaneohe is a small town of about 35,000 people from which the East Coast Highway begins. This coast, particularly rich in points of interest and various activities, extends to Kahuku Point via the Kamehameha Highway. It is also the last town where you can still do your shopping or withdraw money. After that, banks and supermarkets become scarce and you have to wait until you are on the north coast to find them. Kaneohe is especially known for its sandy islet that disappears with the tide; easily reachable by kayak or boat, it is a real attraction for snorkeling enthusiasts.
