Located at the foot of the Koolau Mountains, the small town of Waimanalo has less than 6,000 residents and most of them are native Hawaiians. It's a great place to live in, where people like to take their time and greet newcomers. Nothing to do with the urban madness of Waikiki, only 50 minutes away! Be warned, the color of the water will make your heart capsize. Its huge white sand beach stretches for miles, bordered by the beautiful Ko'olau Mountains to the south. The place is ideal for water sports, picnics or just walking along the sea in search of turtles.
