Third largest park in Gabon, the Moukalaba-Doudou National Park (PNMD) hosts the largest concentration of primates in Gabon with nearly 5,000 chimpanzees and gorillas in particular. In addition to elephants and forest buffaloes, you can discover the Defassa cob, unique to this region of Gabon, as well as the three species of African crocodiles including the Nile crocodile. Finally, ornithologists will be delighted, because the park offers an exceptional range of 380 different species, including the famous Cameroon picatharte. As the park is not very developed in terms of tourism, you can feel like a real pioneer!
