In 1902, several mammoth molars were found near Bantzenheim and in 1903 it was the turn of a tomb and a vase filled with 1,000 6th century Roman coins. Later, many Alaman necropolises were discovered. The village's past therefore goes back a long way. The oldest building, dated 1679, is a small farmhouse formerly located in the rue du Général-de-Gaulle which was dismantled and reassembled in front of the church to become the Maison du Citoyen, de la Culture et de la Communication. Bantzenheim regularly offers beautiful events and has a unique motorcycle museum!
