Situated on the hills overlooking the Bradano valley, it is an important ancient site inhabited around 1000 BC, and is located in the premises of the convent San Francesco in the late th century. it mainly exhibits evidence of peasant life. In Corso della Repubblica, several interesting churches follow: the Sant'Agostino church of the th century, that of the Saints Pietro and Paolo, that of the Immaculate, with a magnificent Renaissance portal. The abbey of San Michele Arcangelo is a magnificent set in the th and th centuries. Note the two magnificent Gothic cloisters with a few Renaissance decorations and early th-century frescoes inspired by late mannerism.
