On the slopes of a gravina where a beautiful 16th century castle still stands, Ginosa is a quiet but impressive village. Although it was once the stronghold of many families (Orsini, Sanseverino, Doria...), the site remains little known and often ignored by tourists. Around Ginosa, you can go to the gravina di Rivolta and the gravina Casale to see the ancient troglodyte villages. The Rivolta village, the largest, had 66 cave dwellings spread over five floors on the cliffside. The cliffs also hide several rupestrian churches revealing some fragmentary frescoes. Info Point: Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 97.
