Founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC, Roses is a seaside resort somewhat overrun by tourism and construction. Nevertheless, it is also the most important fishing port on the northern coast of Catalonia. It is also worth a visit, or even a stay, as it is not lacking in assets either. Its location, between Cap de Creus and the Montgrí massif, makes it a starting point for many walks. You can discover its megalithic remains, consisting of menhirs and dolmens dating from the 3rd century BC, such as the Creu d'en Corbertella, one of the largest in Catalonia.
