A small village of about 1 000 inhabitants in the prestigious past, located in the Majella National park. It stands on the ruins of the old Corfinium (already inhabited in the th century BC). Chosen as capital by the people outraged against Rome (the League Italic) in 91 BC, it was named "Italy" during the social war. Since 1989, on the second Sunday in August, the historic and folk parade in which more than people in costumes are commemorating these different italic peoples who have luttés against ancient Rome.
