Tivoli has many attractions thanks to its privileged setting, perched as it is on a hill planted with olive trees. Just 30 kilometers from Rome, it is home to two Unesco World Heritage villas: the Renaissance Villa d'Este and the ancient Villa Adriana. The charming village offers a beautiful view of the surrounding Roman plain. From the 12th century, Tivoli has preserved picturesque tower-houses and some period residences that can be seen in via del Colle or via Campitelli. In addition to the Villa d'Este, the Renaissance town boasts several palaces that can be seen between via del Trevio and via Domenico Giuliani.
