Palestrina, at an altitude of 500 meters, is worth a visit. You can start your tour at the Porta del Sole, before arriving at the remains of the Temple of Fortune - whose oracle was much listened to - which was unearthed after the Second World War. It covered almost the entire surface of the current city! Around the Sant'Agapito cathedral, you can also discover interesting remains (especially in the Oracle room of the seminary). The visit ends with the archaeological museum, in the 13th century Palazzo Colonna Barberini. It is also worth noting that Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, a great composer of the 16th century, was born here.
