It would be a shame to miss Nemi! It is undoubtedly one of the most charming villages of the Castelli Romani, especially for its lake nestled in a volcanic crater. However, be careful to avoid weekends during the summer months: Nemi is very popular with both Romans and tourists and the crowds could spoil your pleasure... Food lovers beware: in June, the trip is even more worthwhile for tasting the strawberries that grow around Nemi. They are renowned throughout Italy (they are said to be the best in the country!). Their price is a bit high, but their taste is incomparable!
