Chia is renowned for its magnificent beaches, among the finest in southern Sardinia. Powdery white sand and emerald waters are the order of the day. From the ancient tower of Chia, one small cove follows another: su Portu, sa Colonia, Monte Cogoni... Our favorite is su Giudeu, which backs onto the étang di Sali. This long, wide strip of sand overlooks the azure sea on one side and the pond on the other. Chia is also the starting point for the beautiful panoramic road to Porto Teulada.By car, allow 50 min on the SS 195 from Cagliari. Bus 129 leaves Cagliari every 30 min. The journey takes 1 hour and costs between €2 and €4.
