Tuscania is a small town of about 8,000 inhabitants that is worth a visit if only for its picturesque character. The walls of the medieval city were destroyed in an earthquake, but the narrow streets are still reminiscent of the Middle Ages and there is a tranquil, timeless atmosphere.
