Capital of the province of the same name, Chieti is a city of about 60,000 inhabitants, located in the middle of a hilly landscape about 20 kilometers from the sea and Francavilla al Mare. Known as the "balcony of Abruzzo", it is a charming town divided between an old historical center - Civitella - with many monuments and a modern town - Chieti Scalo - 5 km away, which concentrates most of the commercial activities of the city. In the historic city, the narrow streets lined with palazzi are spread around the main street, Corso Marrucino. A pleasant stopover between the green heart of Abruzzo and the coast.
