At 750 m altitude and 16 km east of Beirut, Beit Meri enjoys a magnificent panorama on the coast. In summer, the village can escape the suffocating heat of the capital. Moreover, many tourists, Arabs and Beyrouthins chose this village to establish their summer residence.At the entrance to Beit Meri, a sign of the Ministry of Tourism shows the site of localized ruins at the southern end of the village on a piton that dominates the whole of Beirut. This site is particularly pleasant to visit. Little known and little attended, we walk freely.
