We advise you to take a short trip to the Nahr el Kelb valley and escape the fury of the coast for a while. Orange, lemon and almond trees are scattered along the river. The small road climbs gently up. A pine forest gives a little freshness, then, the slope gets steeper as you approach the perched villages of Zikrit, Kornet el Hamra and Chaouiyé. Following the valley, you will come across Beit Chebab, a superb village of craftsmen. Potters, weavers, and above all master bell-towers maintain a centuries-old tradition here. Then, by moving away from the valley, you can reach, a little further south, the famous summer resorts of Baabdat, Bikfaya and Broummana.
