Located at the end of the small square, on the side of the Rossio station, this very central restaurant is part of the walls of the railway station. It looks like a brewery and is a bright and friendly place where one is surprised by the decoration based on ancient objects around the railways, coming straight from the railway museum of Entroncamento. Here you can enjoy Portuguese gastronomy dishes made from quality products: fish brochettes, octopus and cod in the oven or cod salads . Very nice terrace in fine weather.

The name of this pizzeria comes from its oven covered with a thin layer of gold, installed in a corner of the room. It's an opportunity to taste the real Neapolitan pizza, "the Michelin star of pizzas"! Its dough is unique, made from organic and natural yeast, which Tanka, the owner, brought from Italy. Other dishes, specialties of the house, are proposed as beef cooked at low temperature. For the amateurs, a choice of more than 35 craft beers from different countries is also proposed. To finish, we can't resist the homemade tiramisu.

Open only in the beautiful days, under trees and parasols, for those who missed on June 13 th (the Saint-Antoine!), one of the nice places to graze on sardines (during the season of the small fish mascot of the capital: June to July) or other fish of the day or cuttlefish (venom), the rest of the time. Despite a inconsistent service, the atmosphere is very typical with the tables timed on a level of the calçadinha and the grill before you… Hence the interest of going to be outside the summer (history of writing even if there are few other possibilities given the calendar and space of this restaurant!) with less risk than your clothes you talk about tides for a week. In addition, we love roasted peppers, fried with olive oil and with onions and then the sangria in good agreement!

Originally opened as a Russian gastronomic restaurant, this establishment has become a café where you can enjoy brunch at any time of the day. You have to keep your eyes open to see it in the street because its entrance is very discreet. You will have to find his sign with the portrait of the famous Stanislav. The decoration has kept its Slavic spirit, with a sublime piece of furniture in the back room. On the menu you will find all the traditional dishes for a good brunch or a gourmet break. Located in the corner of Rato Square, on the street that goes to Príncipe Real, this brewery is seen by its imposing façade. It is installed in a public building dating back to 1741, which later underwent several transformations - the objective was to unify the architecture of the neighborhood. At the time, it was in this area that silk was manufactured, and the building had the Kingdom silk factory. It should be noted that the project was originally designed by the French Weaver Robert Godin. Inside, a spacious and warm setting, and attentive service. The flat side serves Portuguese cuisine, a great deal of choice: Du-fries - served with sauce - rice with seafood, grilled fish - we recommend mero - octopus in the oven, cod specialities… For a small snack in the afternoon, there are plenty of petiscos. In a street parallel to Almirante Reis Avenue, with a typical Portuguese decoration and a special attention to presentation, Franginho Real offers well elaborated Portuguese dishes made mainly with meat (not recommended for vegetarians). One of the specialties, "O frango a guia", a chicken with a small preparation, is to be discovered. As curiosities: a caipirinha and starters with grilled sausages. An elaborate range of wines.

Here, you can taste an excellent vegetarian or even vegan food, but the service is not what it used to be. Nevertheless the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. It remains a good address to visit.

A real tasca as we like them! Hidden in a small street, this restaurant is a pearl that should not be disclosed to everyone. A menu with typical meat dishes( Portuguesecozido, pork secretos, grilled meats...) and fish dishes (cod, grilled fish, octopus Lagareiro style), but also other options for vegetarians (omelette, vegetarian burger). All this at unbeatable prices (for now). If you're lucky, you'll come one day when they have frango assado, the famous Portuguese grilled chicken.

At Lx Factory, there's a place where you can eat chicken in all its forms. Its name is a combination of the word Chicken and the suffix "inho", which can be found in many Portuguese words. We tried the tenders, which were a success, and we recommend the weggies as a side dish. Portions are generous, so don't be too ambitious... The place has a terrace, partially sheltered from the sun, which is pleasant because the large dining room can have a bit of a refectory atmosphere when it's full.

Hard to know if it's true, but they claim to be the first place in Lisbon to serve empanadas in the Latin American tradition. In any case, when you enter El Pibe, the decor invites you to escape for a meal, far from the Portuguese capital. There's a wide choice of fillings: octopus, chorizo and mozzarella, eggplant and tomato sauce... Other typical dishes include Lomito (a sandwich with beef, tomato, avocado and onion) or Choripan.
