This is pastéis de nata heaven. They are baked and prepared before your eyes, a bell announcing each new batch that comes out of the oven. You can admire them in their window waiting to be eaten. A real treat. Perfect in the morning before attacking your day of visit, for a little snack between two visits in Baixa, or between two bars in the evening. If you don't have time to go to the Belém factory, this is the place to try this Portuguese specialty! Don't be afraid of the queue, it goes very quickly.

Real Italian ice in Lisbon: this glacier was created and is managed by Italians. Building on its success, Nannarella moved from 68 to 64 on the street to get more space. The list of flavours is not very long, but the essentials are there like vanilla, chocolate or hazelnut (avela). There are also more surprising flavours such as basil. In the summer, you will often see a long line in front of the store. At the old address, a pizza corner has opened where you can buy by weight one of the best pizzas in Lisbon.

The legendary Cascais ice cream parlour, founded in 1949, with factories in São João do Estoril and Carcavelos (more recent), the regular supplier to the crowned heads, moved to the heart of the city in 2010. Facing the Armazéns in Chiado (shopping center), the setting is like something out of a scene from the movie Clockwork Orange or the TV series The Prisoner. It offers you its tasty seasonal flavors, among them: currant(groselha) or green corn(milho verde) but also more classic flavors for those who are not reckless.

An address just a few steps from the big traffic circle of Marquês de Pombal, where many Lisboners go to work. This huge pastelaria is the meeting place of the dynamic executives of the neighborhood, convinced by the fast and efficient service, as well as by the large choice of sandwiches and typical daily dishes (soups, omelets...). They say that their pastel de nata is awarded several years in a row (and therefore to be tested). There is also a small and pleasant terrace. For the price and the area, nothing to complain about: it's practical and economical

A small store, a former rope factory where people used to come to stock up on rafia, jute cloth and baskets... Here, you'll find many products from the Serra d'Estrela, from bread to artisan cheese. Their provenance and quality are of the highest standard. This store belongs to the Seia Bread Museum, where you'll find all the products of this region: compote, honey, cake, chorizo. Also unique, "sardinhas doces", chocolate sardines! A quality gourmet shop where you can buy products made in Portugal.

Belongs to the Carrefour group as a Dia in Spain or Ed in France, it is basic, but it finds the essentials in a rather sinister decor, without any music of atmosphere and with a little waiting in cash. Finally, we are there to make savings, not to make fun! Plastic bags are paid, but before you take their breath, you ask: um faz saco saco saco.

To rediscover the atmosphere of the old chromos: charming arched room, lined with Art Nouveau azulejos and columns. In front of the entrance, a panel announces "The Bread Cathedral". Mass is said! In this house listed in the impressive municipal heritage list, the breads are really excellent, the pastries deliciously sweet and tempting. The old counter has seen generations of regulars pass by and still welcomes many fans in an atmosphere that has nothing religious about it!

Since quite recently, this very small market (with a few stands) in the heart of Lisbon offers a wide range of horticultural products, fruits, aromatic and medicinal plants, fresh eggs, honey, wine and olive oil. Everything makes you want to! There is often at the same time a small market for gourmet products with cheeses, delicatessen, artisanal products of all kinds. Perfect for buying something to cook a good meal.

In Lisboa, you'll be amazed at everything the windows offer and you don't see anywhere else, but when you buy a specific item, it's often complicated. In desperation, you can try your luck on these 9 floors devoted to fabrics, kitchen and table accessories, bedding or camping… there are cheap items to bite some crazy laughter but also very beautiful things (almost complete collection of Alessi…). It is not the Galeries Lafayette, despite its claims, but retain the address.

This inter-professional association for the promotion of Portuguese wines organises in situ low-cost tastings of wines from the Portuguese regions, via distribution fountains. In this beautiful and large area near the tourist office, the Portuguese wine-growing regions are well represented by many beverages. Some wines are available for purchase at producer prices, it changes regularly... For more availability of hostesses and hosts, prefer a visit in the late morning or early afternoon.

The whole assortment of wine lovers and all the good bottles of wines that go with you! Very good selection, professional reception and even, in bonus, a nice grocery store.

You can tell by the smell (unfortunately) and if it's true that you don't necessarily want to go home, it's a great place to buy cod. In the shop window, you can see them, whole, dry and covered with salt. One of the shops in the neighbourhood has a wide choice of dried fish to admire. The staff takes good care of its customers and the products are of high quality. Wine, preserves, liqueurs and other typical Portuguese products are also sold there.

A shopping mall for day shopping with the girls! Mango, Camper, Adidas, on-going and best for factory prices out of competition! Clothes to shoes through perfumes, decoration and as many articles as interesting for men!

Since 1930, the artisanal house has been delivering cans with multicolored packaging. Here we sell ancestral brands like Minor, Prata do Mar or Tricana. The contents are sardines, tuna, octopus, anchovies with different flavors (chili, tomato, olive oil) but also rarer contents (eels, fish eggs ...). The prices start low. All these packages of all colors, it gives envy necessarily. Ideal to bring back cheap souvenirs. The shop window is worth the detour!

Near the Confeitaria Nacional, a venerable and renowned establishment in the salt register. A house that is more than a century old, since its origin dates back to 1860. Authentic delicatessen: delicatessen (sausages, sausages, sausages...), cheeses (goat, sheep...) and wines, exclusively of Portuguese origin. But also coffees and, on the central counter, candied or frozen fruits and other sweets. The service is old-fashioned but the store lives with the times because it has an online store and an Instagram account.
