Located on the banks of the Ebro River, Tudela (35,000 inhabitants) does not lack charm. It is one of the 23 cities that were founded in Spain by the Arabs around the 9th century. In 1119, Alfonso I of Aragon took Tudela from the Muslims and Christianized the area. At the same time, Jewish communities settled there. Today, Tudela is known as the "capital of vegetables", as its fertile lands offer good harvests. The best view of the city is from the banks of the Ebro River, before entering the city by the bridge. The river is very wide and reflects the bridge, the towers of the cathedral and the Sagrado Corazón hill.
