Ten kilometers south of Tudela, the ancient Roman Cascantum is now a large town of 3,700 inhabitants. The place deserves a stop for its baroque church of Nuestra Señora del Romero, perched on a hillock in the heights of the city. It is reached by following a singular arcade gallery 136 meters long, known as Los Arcos del Romero. It is made up of 39 semicircular arches, allowing the faithful to protect themselves from the weather when they went to the place of worship of the Virgin del Romero. It is a beautiful architectural curiosity that offers a wonderful view of the Ribera de Navarra
